Nestled in one of the many coves formed by the Raquette River grow many beautiful wild flowers. My favorites are the Cardinal Flowers which are bright red and reflect beautifully in the shallow waters. A hike through the pines brings one out to these beautiful areas which are usually not visible from the road.
