I took this photo of the Chenango Canal on July 7, 2014 as we were leaving Chenango Valley State Park. The person is the photo is my husband's daughter, Krista, who lives in Hawaii. I explained the canal's history to her and she was intrigued. The canal once served as a shipping route between the Susquehanna River in Binghamton and the Erie Canal in Utica.
